| 2003 marked the inception of the Big Bear Venturing Challenge- a sort of mini eco-challenge geared toward Venturing Scouts, both in Venturing Patrols and Venturing Crews. The tradition continues with a new race course and as usual, new , exciting and yes, sometimes frustrating Challenges. |

| Big Bear has been the site of a high adventure eco-challenge called the Big Bear Venturing Challenge. The race consists of multiple legs including orienteering, mountain biking, climbing & canoeing. We hope to host this race again in the future. |
